- Hi all,
-
- Just got the the new Amiga Computing magazine here in the UK and there's
- an interesting report in the News section about forthcoming Amigas. The
- report focused on a recent Paris Amiga show and mentioned the
- forthcoming Internet Surfer pack. According to the article, this will
- be priced at about 1300DM (approx 600 ukp) and will include a PCMCIA
- modem, TCP/IP software, Web browser, FTP program, E-Mail and IRC
- program.
-
- What interested me is a statement by Gilles Bordin: "There will be a lot
- of new software coming out for the Amiga from companies that have never
- developed for the Amiga before who previously worked on PC and Mac
- products. There will be some Web Browsers of very high quality but we
- are definately not dealing with Netscape."
-
- I wonder who these companies are.
-
- And, finally, the rumour of QuickTime being ported to the Amiga was
- apparently confirmed by so Apple Executives from Apple, Germany.
-
- The future of the Amiga is looking rosier.
